What is FASTag?
A tag that operates on the Radio-frequency identification technology (RFID Technology) and is fixed on the front glass or windscreen of a vehicle enables the driver to pass through toll gates without cash-paying and also without waiting to pay.

How to get FASTag?
There are many ways to get It, some of them are as follows
- You can buy online from PayTM and Amazon.
- You can download FASTag app and buy it online.
- The offices of the Road Transport Authority also issue it.
- You can get it from the FASTag issuing agency near any toll plaza.
- National Highways Authority of India has authorized various FASTag service providers like ICICI, HDFC, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank, City Union Bank, you can also get the tag from these banks.

What is the price/cost of FASTag?
Different vehicles have been kept in different categories, out of which different color codes are given to each vehicle. The complete information related to the price is given below, which is as follows
- The color code for vehicles such as Car/Jeep/Van, Tata Ace, and Mini LCV is Purple and the price is Rs.500.
- The color code for LCV 2 axle is Orange and it is priced at Rs.600.
- The color code for 2 axle buses and trucks is green and the price is around Rs 600.
- The color codes for 3 axle buses and trucks are yellow and the price is around Rs 700.
- For 4 axle trucks and above, the color code is pink and the price is Rs.800.
- The color code for Earthmover vehicles is Gray and the price is Rs.800.
- The color code for the larger size vehicles is light blue and the price is Rs 900.
The minimum deduction amount for a card is Rs 100, and Rs 200 is credited as the balance on the card.
The tag works on prepaid recharge and recharge are deducted periodically at each toll station, and the FASTag issuing agency deducts a specific amount from the customer’s account from time to time.
Whenever you pass through a toll gate, you are notified through a confirmation message after the toll amount has been deducted from the card.
